Phase 2 commenced and overlapped Phase 1, The 159 studio beds adjacent to an existing student accommodation development were amended slightly following lessons learnt from Phase 1 but remained within budget due to close liaison with the contractor and an eye on tight cost management. The scheme included an Early Enabling works package based on asbestos removal, demolition and services disconnection. Occupation of the students was successful for the 2016 intake and the scheme was delivered within the budget.
